The Historical Glass Slides Photos Page 1

Anyone wishing to add more photos to the page is very welcome.

All Photographs are by unknown photographers from the turn of the century into the 1940/50's. The Glass Slides are held in two private collections and the permissions of the owners is appreciated in presenting this material.

This page is broken into two halves as even downloading the thumbnails of the slides was taking a long time.

Click on the picture for a ( JPG) photo of the staircase into Bride Cave before it was burnt by a bushfire which destroyed the top part of the staircase. Photo date unknown. Click on the picture for a ( JPG) photo of Caves House taken in 1901.
Click on the picture for a ( JPG) hand coloured photo of the large karri tree in the Lake Cave doline. Photo date unknown. Click on the picture for a ( JPG) photo of "The Meteoric Shower" in Calgardup Cave which was published in Minerals of Australia by Simpson.
Click on the picture for a ( JPG) photo of an unknown ICE formation. This is clearly not a Western Australian cave and its orgin is unknown - it has the word "Interlaken" on the slide. Information about this slide would be greatly appreciated. Click on the picture for a ( JPG) photo of a couple (checkout those "pins") at the "Wishing Well" in Lake Cave - some guesses on the date of this photo would be useful. Anyone know anything about fashion :-)
